Where are the ETA referance holes located in tranny?

Problem: the 88' 325 I bought was an auto, and I bought it minus the tranny so I have nothing to compare to. I have all parts I need to convert to a 5speed but am trying to find out information about the aforementioned reference holes.

    1) Where are they located?

    2) Once #1 is answered can I drill holes in the bell housing of my 260 tranny and that work?

    3) Upon inspection along the back of the engine with tranny out I am not seeing any electrical wires/sensors back there that would seem to need to use these holes for timing, what am I missing?

An 88 325 (Super Eta) does not have the tranny reference sensor. It has one sensor on the front crank pulley.

      Correct!
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
