    Diff Leak

    the tag on the diff says S373 and then some numbers like 2052.

    Pics attached are of the passenger side that leaks and then of the drivers side that is dry. It seems to me that there is a much bigger gap on the leaky side.

    BTW - my first bimmer auto (had a R1100R for a couple of years) - and also my first car that I plan on pretty much doing everything for it. 88 Vert. Not sure what my plan of attack should be for this issue.

    axle looks like it pulled out of the center section a tiny bit allowing it to leak try forcing it back in and seeing if it will stay in, if not you will need to pull in out and get new cir clips that sit on the ends of the axle plugs that sit inside the center section btw might wanna replace the 5 dollar seal while its out
