I need help fast, I might loose opt...

Hi, you guys have helped me a lot, but now I might loose a big chance to fix my damn E30, some guy is selling me a 325 e 86' for 500, is in good condition just something wrong with the engine. I want to buy it for the tranny, because mine is automatic and that one is manual. But I dont know if they are compatible?, it is the same parts? or just 87 to 90? please help me...thanks in advance. I own a 325 E 88"

I have an '84 325 5 speed in my formerly automatic '89 325is. Does that answer your question?

starter needs to be match to trans flywheel though, with a little searching, you could have easily found this out

ok other question, that is sold, but other guy is selling me an manual tranny, I dont know from waht year, Is from a E car but he says that it will fit only E30's from 88-91, ok my car is 88 but is just the tranny, if I need to get the other parts for the swap they cant be from another year?, do they differ on something? for example flywheel, clutch, tranny bracket? thanks
