    flex disk question

im resoursing the parts to complete my auto-manual swap,
    not to long ago i picked up a G260 off an 1987 e24 m6.

i have a late model e30 and i should need a late model driveshaft

but the guibo diameter is aprox. 96mm
and the late model shaft is aprox. 78mm

    my question,

can i just buy a 78mm guibo and straight swap it to the tranny?
or do i need an adapter?

hope you understood my question and feel free to school me

    thanks

Change the output shaft. There is a LARGE nut on the back of the tranny(30or32mm) behind the flex disk. Before you try to zip it off there is a metal retaining washer that looks like the back side of the output. Get a SMALL flat head and pry it out. Then once that is done remove it and replace the rear main seal while you are there. Slide the new one on and bolt it up and you are done.

I did the same thing to the tranny I have in my DD right now. No issues.
