    Do I have an LSD

Just bought a Z3 differential from the salvage yard the tag reads 345N4892 but when I rotate the input shaft the axles turn in the same direction. If I turn one axle the other one also rotates in the same direction. To me this means it's an LSD but I was expecting an S designation on the tag. doesn't look life it has ever been apart. Any thoughts or other way to test before I put it on the car.

    Thanks,

    Seth

Hold one output shaft and then try to turn the other. If the diff is a limited slip it will take as much as 60ft-lb of torque to move the output shaft.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks Jim for the suggestion, When I hold one output shaft I can easily turn the other one by hand. I can even turn them in opposite directions, still not sure what I have.
