ZF swap - why change drive shaft

I have a late model 325 that I am in the process of swapping the motor and tranny on. I see information saying I need to change drive shafts, but nothing that says why.

    Search yielded no answers.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Bolts, length...??

The output shaft on the ZF is bigger than late model G260s.

              My m50tub25 and ZF320 had a e36 328i Drive Shaft. The trans was from a '97 M3.

This is what I ordered as well....PN 26111227283

For shit's and giggles I did verify that in fact the issue was the guibo/bolt size. Driveshaft side is smaller by at least 1/4"
