    Spec stage 3 clutch

I've been searching around a bit and I've noticed there is quite a few people running a spec stage 3 clutch kits in their e30's. I'm gonna be dropping in a m20 stroker motor into my e30 318i but I want something pretty strong since ill be turbocharging it in about a year.
And on behalf of my mate who isn't a member on the forums he has a stock m30 3.5 e30 with an m10 gearbox. His standard m10 clutch only lasted one month so a heavy duty one also needed. I've checked up the specs for both clutch kits and they seem to suit our needs nicely. However it doesn't tell me if this clutch is streetable, which is important as both of our cars are our daily drivers. Another thing I want to know is how is the quality like on these spec clutches are their any problems people have with them that I should know about.
What else would you recommend for the same price range. I'm also liking the tcd stage 1 or 2 clutch kit for my car aswell (the 327i turbo).

i have one in my m10. it's streetable, but I dunno about daily material. it has enough bite that if you're not paying attention it can catch you off guard.

with that said, my mom can drive my car. (she has driven an old ford truck without synchros, however... so take that as you will)

I guess the real gauge is, it takes some time to get used to it, but even safety inspectors and people who service the car can get it going without too much trouble. don't expect the clutch to be buttery smooth.

That's alright then at least its bearable. It's sounds like something I can get used to in a day or two and it if makes people wanna avoid driving my car then that would be a bonus. Just another question on your clutch your running Jaxx, when your accelerating hard and changing gear quickly does it have that kick in the back sort of thunk between every gear change, my mate had it in his evo 7 and was running a twin plate clutch it would be awesome if the spec clutches did the same.

I can chirp 3rd gear shifting quickly onto the highway with 225s and a stock m10. that should give you an idea of how much bite it has. Is that what you're asking? lol

Something along the lines of that. My mate took me out once out in his evo 7 and started giving to it in some quiet back street and took it to 100mph and every time he changed gears the car would give a big kick back every time he released the clutch it was pretty cool. But if you can chirp 3rd gear in a stock m10 then that would bring new levels of wet weather fun in my m20 :)

Would you care if your mate did that in his Evo VII I think you'd get excited just like I did, it's not your car he's thrashing

Thanks for your input Jaxx I will give my local Spec dealer a call first thing in the morning and place a couple of orders

lol that's worse than launching at a christmas tree? get real man. you're not gonna break something on your drive line with a fraction of the torque that you would get launching in first gear.

well, it's just a matter of how fast you let off the clutch, and if your clutch can handle the torque.
