Help me please! I have been fighting a vibration for over a month after performing a 5 speed swap. I discarded the vibration damper as I was concerned that it would interfere with the z3 shifter. Long story short, I need to know if the guibo goes between the trans output flange and the damper or if the guibo goes inside the damper.
Correct position of vibration damper

The presence, or lack, of the vibration damper isn't going to cause vibration from under the car. The odds are that the vivration you feel is from; a) an improperly assembled drive shaft, or b) binding u-joints in the drive shaft. If you aligned the paint marks on the drive shaft halves, you can forget (a) and go straight to (b). In which case you need a replacemnt drive shaft with good u-joints.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thank you for your input. I am sure the driveshaft is correctly assembled and was thinking that it could be a bad u-joint as well. However, I am going to install the damper regardless and need to know the correct position. Fwiw, It only occurs between 85-105 kilometers per hour and is felt throughout the vehicle.Comment

Yes, the csb is new and correctly preloaded. I have checked all the bolts as well. Thank you for your input.
I installed the guibo inside the damper, but the vibration is still present although somewhat reduced. Any other ideas?Comment
