    Differential cover gasket

Do you guys just use the little gasket by itself, or do you also squeeze a little bead of gasket maker stuff on there as well? Inquiring minds want to know.

I like to use a thin smear of Blue Silicone sealer. But it should seal bare.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It definitely seals bare...just be sure to clean the surfaces.

I use the paper gasket naked.

or high temp silicone like toyota around the housing- ala e46 bmw factory procedure; they deleted the paper gasket because it leaked.
