    Did I Break my diff?

    Today when trying to reverse my Diff started being really fucking wierd, it wouldnt put the power down it like locked up, then I sort of concluded that its maybe both wheels spinning in opposite directions? If i slowly gave it a good amount of power and let the clutch out slow one (or both) of the wheels starting spinning but I was locked i place. This all happened after I did a massive burnout in my school parking lot as today was my last final haha. I jacked it up and nothing looked wierd but when i spin one of the wheels the other spins in the same direction. PO reported this was a special built LSD and I can confirm it being a limited slip from all the sliding and stuff I do.

                  I call open diff with fucked spider gears.

                  My first diff in one of my cars I would have sworn was LSD, let rip twins 784425 time out of 784426 but turned out it was an open and its demise was almost exactly as you described.

                      Thanks man. If I pull the diff cover to check or should I just pull the whole thing out now and throw my old 2.93 open in there

                              I have had that happen to a LSD before, abused it enough that the clutch plates melted and lost all splines...became open diff!
