Help need advice - Installing new auto tranny with 4 bolt output shaft

We have an 89 325i that has auto driveshaft with 3 bolt orientation on front driveshaft. The new 4 HP22 autotragic tranny we acquired has a 4 bolt output shaft on it.

Ordered a 30mm thin wall deep socket to facilitate swapping the output shafts on back of tranny but will be awhile until I get the socket.

What kind of year/model car used the 4 bolt flange? Thinking about just trying to buy a front piece auto driveshaft/guibo that has the 4 bolt setup so we don't have to change output shafts. Would really appreciate any advice/recommendations.

If you swap parts of a drive shaft, you will need to have the drive shaft balanced. It would be cheaper, and probably easier, to swap the output flange.

I talked to a local mechanic and he said that I could not just swap the output flanges, that I would also have to change the output shafts which would require dismantling both of the tranny's. I've been getting conflicting info on this from different people and that is part of why I'm confused on how to procede.

I have a 4 bolt automatic drive shaft, its in good shape too just has no CSB as i used it for my 5 spd swap.
