    Notchy Gearbox

My shifter is very notchy in practically any gear, it feels like there is a wall when trying to engage. Should I change fluids or get a short throw shifter? Any other thoughts?

Its a Getrag 240, and on original clutch

    Thanks in advanced.

No short throw, it's the stock one that came factory. After some more driving I noticed third through fifth has practically no restriction in engagement. First and second are a pain though. I'll be changing diff and tranny fluid as soon. Anyone recommend a short throw that much more for daily driving?

get the short shift kit from Blunt. includes new bushings, a shorter shift rod (z3 1.9 I think), and a ZHP knob. Slightly notchy at first, but drive a few days and it loosens up. Drastically cleaned up my shifter slop. I used to be able to wiggle the stick like i was in neutral, but actually in gear.
