Can't get driveshaft off :( help!

I've removed everything I needed to I thought. 4 bolts connecting to the diff. All 6 bolts connecting to the guibo/trans. 2 bolts holding up the center bearing. I can't get this thing to drop. I spent an hour trying to get the front end off of the transmission. I've moved it around so much the guibo almost moves freely. I can move it around in circles but I still can't get the shaft to come down.
I've tried it both in neutral and in 1st, both with no results.

Loosely remount the CSB, loosen the collar nut on the rear half of the drive shaft, spray PBlaster on the splines, and them pry either end of the drive shaft towards the middle. I usually pry the rear towards the front. Once an end of the drive shaft is off the index pin you can remove the CSB blots and take thew drive shaft off.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'm having a really hard time loosening the collar nut. It's on a tight space and it's huge. I tried using an adjustable plumbing wrench but it didn even fit In the space.

I use a pair of channel locks and liberal application (and time for it to work) of PBlaster. By time for it to work I mean hours or even days, not minutes.

that's not necessary. just bend it at the csb and pull it off the shaft on the front and slide out the diff side. it's not complicated, after you do it you'll realize how easy it is.

Ok i tried loosening the collar nut and I don't know which way to turn it. You can turn it upward facing the drivers side. Or upwards facing the passengers side. Please help! This is driving me nuts.

When viewed from the engine side the collar nut needs to be turned counter-clockwise.

Aright. Hopefully I get another chance to try it today. How many full turns until it's loose enough to compress?

dont remember exactly but its a fair amount given the space. pipe wrench worked perfect for me but when its free you can move it around freely.(slides, moves around)

In the words of the great ice cube. "you can do it jus' put yo' back into it"

I put a jack stand under my trans. Took out the trans support and crossmember. Used a small adjustable crecent wrench on the trans side of the guibo to hold the back bolt( used the trans itself to keep it from turning) then a socket for the back side.

For the diff side, no need for 2 wrenches. Use an opened end wrench. Line up driveline so 2 bolts are on the bottom. Put parking brake on. Torque those 2 bolts off. Take off parking brake, turn driveshaft so the next 2 bolts are on the bottom. Put parking brake back on then get the last 2 off. From there release the CSB. And bend shaft toward the ground. use a large flathead to pry the guibo off the output flange if trans

                    Done.

So it's not going to stress or break anything to put force and bend the shaft in the middle? I had the csb loose/off and it clearly droops in the middle. I put some force but I didn't want to put too much without knowing what could happen.

And no beer for me. I'm under aged :) haha

I've always just pulled the driveshaft down/sideways and then out of the diff or trans whichever seems like it's going to come first. I can't totally remember.

I've never had any problems. Sounds like what other people do as well.

I'm no pro, but I've done it more than a couple times...

Unbolt csb after youve unbolted the front and back. You can leave the flex disc on the driveshaft...then bend it at the csb and pull it off the front. Straighten out the rear and slide the studs out of the diff.
