    Copper grease/lube on clutch-actuating compnents??

I know I have to put some lube on the clutch fork where it sits on the pivot pin, where it contacts the TOB and the slave cylinder, and a bit of copper grease on the input shaft that sits in the pilot bearing...BUT does anybody hear put it or any lube for that matter on the input shaft splines/clutch disc splines, throwout bearing/slide tube??

I think the manual said no and to make sure everything is clean, just wondering what you guys do...

    Thanks

A smear of grease on the bearing points is a good idea.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i used white lithium on everything but the input shaft. i used the rag that was barely damp with lithium grease to clean the splines but i didn't go heavy or even light for that matter on the splines.

Grease all metal to metal surfaces. A high quality moly grease or anti-sieze works well. I put a very thin layer on rotating parts ( input shaft splines, pilot bearing surface) A stiff artists paint brush works well to apply a thin coat. Do not grease any plastic to metal surfaces The grease attracts dirt and grit that will prematurely wear the plastic parts.
