Stuff to replace when doing Short Shifter.

I am putting in a z3 2.5 shift lever in my car.

In the Short Shifter DIY on here it says :
    Z4 2.5i SSK
    4x . . . 25 11 1 220 439 - Spacer Rings
    1x . . . 25 11 1 220 832 - Rubber Bearing sleeve (could be replaced with UUC Delrin Bushings)
    2x . . . 25 11 1 220 379 - Circlips $0.50 (one extra)
    1x . . . 25 11 1 220 600 - Nylon Shift Bushing - $4.00

But Pelican Parts recommends replacing like everything:
    • Center Shift Bearing
    • Shift Arm Bearing
    • Shift Arm bushing
    • Shift Arm Bushing Clip
    • Spacer Washers
    • Circlips
    • Shift Coupler
    • Shift Coupler Dowel Pin
    • Rear mount for Shift Lever Support Arm

Pelican parts list totals $100 and the "SSK" kit on here is like $20, Just wondering if I will be able to tell that much difference when shifting or should I just save the $80?

Most of the wear parts Pelican suggests almost certainly need replacing. You can probably re-use the circlips and dowel pin.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I made a post on the short shift thread with my thoughts on this subject. Most of the extras you don't really need. but I would replace the circlips, the upgraded design is muchhh better than the old ones.

fyi I have a bunch of extra clips and a couple of extra yellow washers.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.
