Getrag 260 Question

Hey,

Broke a part off while removing the transmission and I was told from credible sources that it's for the reveres lights. Went on bmw fans and it's part #19 but there is no part number

realoem shows the same diagram with no "19" however, the reverse light is listed under part 18, and carries P/N 23141354071. It is my experience that the reverse light is where yours is broken off, and that there is no switch on the rear case where part 18 is shown to be. I would order the above number and roll with it.....

Yes, that's the reverse light switch. About $10. 23-14-1-354-071.
