    I need help figuring out my shifter situation

    Im finally replacing my old trans thats missing 3rd and 4th with one we got at pull a part. Only problem is the one I got didnt have a shifter and the shifter I have wont just bolt up simply.

    My brother is telling me Ill need a set up something like this, I just want to make sure hes right.

      Your bro is correct, you need a sheet metal shift tower, etc. I have the same thing in my car, an early trans and a late car.

          Indeed. Has any one used one of these on a 260 gearbox? The M3 would have had a 265 box, i think. I'm curious if it puts the shifter in the same place/angle as a late 260.

                      What they're saying about 25112225369 is that you can bolt it to the top of the trans and be able to use your old shift arm. So about $5 in parts compared to how much the old sheet metal carrier is. Up to you and how fat your wallet is.
