    Challenge Name the Problem

ok, here is the brief version, you attach everything corrects and button up the tranny, and when you go for a gear it is like the car remains in neutral, no gears at all, goes into each gear easily, problems eliminators: new clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, bleed slave cylinder, have been done, I really don't want to have to take the tranny out of the IX again as with the 4wd it is quite the biatch.

Could I just need a clutch adjustment so that the clutch will disengage?

Here are all the possibilites, no matter how dummy:

    Shift linkage not connected.
Slave cyldner or release arm setup not installed properly and is holding the clutch open.
One of the driveshafts isn't attatched at one end.
You left the clutch disc out of the pressure plate.
    Your transfer case is dead
    Your tranny is dead.

    Start looking.
