    common problem?

went ahead and ordered the guibo/flex disc, nuts/bolts, and CSB.

Only to find out that when i get everything out of the way the guibo has

a hairline crack and the back half of the driveshaft is loose?

    chipped u joint?

the problems that occur when on the road are crazy vibration

at certain rpm and clunking on shifts slow or fast.

Which means that you need to replace the drive shaft.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

exactly. u joints fail from time to time. i'm battling the same issue right now. you can go the cheap route like i have many times just to stay on the road (junk yard driveshafts/rear halves) or get one rebuilt for $400 locally.
