    all sorts of noises/vibrations

    1) when i put the clutch in there is a pretty loud knocking noise. Its not every time i clutch, but its very annoying. And it seems to be very prominent in reverse and when i put the clutch in while braking.

    2) when i coast in neutral there is a rattling/chattering coming from under the shifter. (car does have a lightened flywheel)

    3) vibration in 4th at 2100-2700rpm very annoying (the vibration is there in all gears in that rpm range, but its the worst in 4th).

    4) sometimes when i come to a stop in neutral there is a vibration that goes away after i put the clutch in and then release it.

what do i need to do/replace?

    Current Car: 2011 BMW 135i, M-Sport, 6 speed

i have similar issues and have come to the conclusion that it's the driveshaft, the donor car for my five speed swap wasn't low mileage... i'll let you know if it gets resolved shortly when i put my re manufactured shaft in

everything else is new in my car... clutch, t/o bearing, csb, guibo, mounts, bushings, shocks etc.

new driveshaft didn't solve this for me...

I(f the noise os only present when you disengage the clutch and seems to come from under the shifter, the throw out bearing or clutch is the likely suspect.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Very important! Yes throw out bearing could ne a problem BUt! If the noise persisted when letting the clutch go and in every gear even in neutral but listen closely. Try different gears if the sound changes and rattles with the speed of the rpm of the GEAR you are in and not tje engine then it is your input shaft bearing in your tranny. Had that rattle noise before and replaced the entire clutch kit with flywheel and the noise persisted. Till I took the tranny apart lol let me know what you find

I would suggest with swapping the clutch assembly first since its cheaper imo. And make sure your drivetrain is all tight including the diff. Had mine pop loose on me wasn't a pretty feel or sound
