Need to know if I can bolt my ZF auto 4 speed that was bolted to the M20 up to an M50. I hate to do this trust me. I'd prefer a 5 speed any day, BUT I'm on a budget and have my old ZF laying around. Thanks ahead of time!!!

If you're on that big of a budget, don't do the swap. Keep the M20 and do a 5 speed swap instead. -
Well yes true point. My first idea was, and still is, to rebuild the M20. I'm starting bare block and working my way back to running. So the reason I wanted to ask is because I possibly have an opportunity to get a running M50. It would save me some funds in the long run, but I also won't know the history of it too well and won't have any idea when things might need to replaced on it. More or less I was just curious if it was possible to bolt that tranny to an M50 block.
But either way I appreciate your input.
