    snapping cvs ....

I got an e30 325ic and snapped 3 cv joints in one week. Of course advance auto reman bullshit. Never had a problem with the stock ones that came with the car but had to replace since boots were gone and were spewing grease everywhere. Anyway put the new cvs in and bam snap....next day get one and snap get another and 3 days later snap. The thing is is they snap on different sides so that said its shitty parts. All 3 snapped cuz of burnouts but still I feel like there is no excuse for them to snap at the joint. My motor is stock too so no way too much power lol also I noticed that the boot on the advanced cv is rubbing on my spring on the left side...perhaps wrong part number? That said my real question is any suggestions for good high quality cvs perhaps even racing cvs? thanks!

    (1) get a pair of OE drive shafts and (2) don't do burnouts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If you want to do burnouts, get a honda. It won't last any longer (no street car will), but there are lots more of them to get used parts from. Street cars aren't mean to take the abuse that a burnout incurs. OE or stronger half shafts are treating the symptoms, the cure is to not do burnouts.

Oh come on Jim; your advice is a little to commonsensical for my testosterone filled ears.

I know, but somebody had to say it.

How many hondas on the street in this country can actually do a 2 legger? lol I know of a few, but they are NOT stock. Also break axels/intermediate shafts as its FF stupidity

              :P

stock half shafts handle dougnuts/drifting/burn outs just fine if you are not TRYING to break them

I seem to have a knack for allowing things to get close to breaking limit and not blow up though, perhaps I'm not as abusive now as in younger days. Also only run OEM/high quality parts-
