Differential internal / case swap question

Will the limited slip internals from an e36 (1992 325i) fit into the case from an e30 (1991 318is). I currently have an open diff in the 318is I just picked up..... how unlucky!!! ... and the parts car for my m50 swap happens to have a good limited slip. I was hoping to use the internals from it somehow. Can this be done with my e30 case or the rear covers and axles swapped to make it happen?
