    Driveshaft Vibration Dampener

I'm wondering if anyone knows what model E30s came with them or without them? I have an 89 325i 5-speed, this is what mine looks like...

Does anyone know if they came stock on ALL 89 325i/is models? I have read some posts about removing them, but I don't want to do that unless it was possible for it to come from the factory that way. I will be autocrossing my car, & the rules basically say it has to be stock & original, but if for some reason some 89s came without them I'm OK to remove it ;) Or maybe there is some factory TSB that calls for removing them, that would be OK too...may need to call BMW

Dont have much to say as far as rules. But I don't believe they are required at all. Its more important to make sure your guibo and CSB are in good condition.

If you search around you will find that lots of people have removed this part and run their car in all kinds of situations with no discernable difference. I don't have one on my car (removed it when I put a rebuilt drive shaft) and there is no difference as far as I can tell.
