So i have some crazy clutch chatter. its a dual mass flywheel from an e36 325i and a Luk clutch kit. there are no springs on the clutch disc like normal ones for this model so i'm thinking that has something to do with it. i'm not a clutch master but its just a guess. it didnt do it at first when i finished my swap but now i hold the clutch pedal down so i dont hear it at idle. what do guys think?
talk to me about your clutch!

chatter is normal at slight engagement for a puck clutch or an unsprung clutch. I get it with my 6 puck. It should feel like it grips/slips about 10x a second.
if it's fully engaged or fully disengaged then you should not feel it at all.'84 318i M10B18 147- Safari Beige

well ive gotten used to it so it doesnt really do it when im driving but if its in neutral and i have my foot off the clutch pedal, it makes the worst chatter noise from the transmission. so i never have my foot off the clutch pedal when the cars runningComment

If the rattle only occurs when the transmission is in neutral and the clutch is engaged, the cause is not the clutch. Worn input shaft bearings in the transmission are the cause. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
