Has anyone changed the diff input seal?

BUying a diff and the input shaft seal on it leaks.

Has anyone changed theirs? I know it needs to be torqued like mad and when re tightening i need to be careful because of internal cir clips

You don't need all the special tools, just something to hold the input flange and you might need to grind down the outside of a 30mm(?) socket to get it to fit in the flange to remove the bolt.
BTW, it doesn't take massive torque to put the bolt back on; the Bently manual is WRONG. I marked the pinion shaft end and bolt before removing the bolt and it took 28 ft/lbs to line the marks back up. Marking/lining back up/loctite is the procedure that I found searching various forums.

dont tighten like mad. you will destroy your diff setting, the bearings, the ring and pinion.
