    Tranny Noise or Diff? Or....

So, more questions about my new E30. lol

It has a loud humming noise in the car and while in gear even cruising I hear a whine. When accelerating you can feel a vibration around 2,500RPM or so and I noticed in sharp corners getting on the throttle sort of hard I could feel a vibration from the right rear.

    Diff? Axles? Tranny? All?

The car shifts smooth, no issues there, I also noticed the whine noise is only in gear which makes me think tranny and the loud humming is in gear or not, doesn't matter.

I haven't had a chance to get under the car yet to see if there are any visible signs, just seeing if there is some place to start.

Sometimes the rear bearings could whine like that on acceleration, deceleration, or when turning.

Sorry to bump such an old thread. But I have a whinning noise coming from the back. If the car has a limited slip is it normal for these cars to make a little noise from the rear end?

Not when driving straight. A whining noise then will be incorrect clearance between the ring and pinion from wear, or bad differential or wheel bearings.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
