Hi...
I was trying to install the teflon seals on my transmission prior to installing it. I got the kit from Shift that includes three rings and they say it services three transmissions, so I guess they only want you to replace one of the seals. The only write up I could find on this showed both seals being replaced. I decided to replace them both.
I slipped the first ring onto its groove, so I had to pull the second ring over that. It got stretched out quite a bit. I think I should have tried to get the first ring out of its groove and on to the second groove. So now I'm not sure if I should keep the second seal on there. I still have the third ring if I need an extra, but I'm not sure how to install it. I took the input shaft off the clutch, but it is too wide to go from the back. Anyone know for sure?
Thanks.
