differential cover

would it be possible and relatively easy to remove a differential cover and install a new on while the differential is still bolted up to the car? My diff cover decided to break near the round bushing.. my axle disconnected itself and hit it causing it to break where the cover mounts to the donut bushing.

not very hard at all, just support the diff with a floorjack or something
