Cruise Control fix after 5-spd swap

My CC doesn't work after the swap, obviously there are no more signals going to the computer from the old autobox. How do i fix it? What did you other tranny swap guys do?

The two wires you have to splice together to get the car to start after you do the swap have to be disconnected for the cruise control to work. Basically what you need is to install a switch between those wires instead and flip the switch on to start the car and then switch it off to engage the cruise control.

Wiring a switch sounds like a crappy solution to me. ANYONE else? It must be possible to retain normally functioning cc after the swap.

The only way I can think of is to wire up a clutch safety switch so that when you push the clutch all the way down it completes the circuit and lets you start the car. But when you release the clutch it allows you to use cruise. Make sense? I'm going to try it out sometime, not that urgent for me, I just have a switch.

        Keep it slideways!!

That clutch switch sounds like a good idea.
