Auto "S" Gear??

    Auto "S" Gear??

    I have a '88 325 vert auto and I've always wondered what the "S" gear. Sport?
    I have used it a couple of time and it feel like its just one gear never changes

      it keeps the trans in 1-2-3 (no OD) and stiffens up the shifts iirc

      (in D the trans shifts 1-2-3-4)

          thats how most sport modes are, leaves it in the next highest gear so u can take off quicker

              My cab has an electronic selector with S mode. It disable OD and holds the gear longer and keep RPMS high.
