Can I run a 1986 BMW 528e tranny in my E30 M3 W/S50?

    Can I run a 1986 BMW 528e tranny in my E30 M3 W/S50?

    Is this the Getrag 260?
    will stock drive shaft length work ok?

    The trans will work but the e30 m3 driveshaft won't, use the e30 325e/i driveshaft.

      That doesnt make any sense. It's the exact same transmission. On pre 6/86 cars you *might* have a different output flange, but thats easy to change.
