How far does the pilot bearing go in?

Auto-> Manual swap going on so I have no old pilot bearing to remove for reference.

How deep does the new pilot bearing need to sit? This picture of someone elses clutch job shows it sitting down in the bore about 1cm

I just realized that parts 2, 3, and 4 existed and that I need to purchase them for my swap.

Does anyone have any comments on their purpose for existence?

parts 2, 3, & 4 are only used when a non-selaed bearing is used. They aren't necessary in your case as you have a sealed bearing. The bearing should seat at the bottom of the recess.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
