    Driveshaft differences - G240

    Question for you guys...

Is the only difference between the m42 driveshaft and the m10 driveshaft, if both are G240 5 speeds, the CSB? I'm either going to pull an M42 driveshaft from a yard, or I'll be buying a new M10 driveshaft.

ANY help will be very very appreciated. Are they different length? I wasn't able to see driveshaft part #s on RealOEM, but I might just be stupid.

    Thanks,
    -Jackson

Did you ever find the answer to this? I'm about to swap in an M42 for my M10, and I have my current M10 driveshaft that is in great shape (new guibo, CSB, good u-joints, etc) that I'd like to use. I have two M42 driveshafts, but they're pretty nasty.

By my measurements, the driveshaft flange on the M42 sits about 1" farther back than the one on the M10, so if there is 1" of play in the slip-joint, I should be fine. Just want to know before I pull everything out.
