Clutch Pedal Assist Spring Mechanism Help...

I have replaced my Clutch Master and Slave cylinder about three months ago. The clutch pedal assist spring is giving me major issues however. It appears to only remain in place due to a small 'perch' on the firewall and I was curious if this is the only thing that keeps it there.

The reason I ask is because it keeps coming out of place an cracking the plastic connector (M/C to hose) and causing all the brake fluid in the resevoir to leak onto the interior of my car. Anyone falmiliar with this issue/ part?

    Thank you in advance.

The bracket for the pedal assembly is broken, needless to say I will have to replace the bracket. I am still at a loss as to whether or not the clutch pedal assist spring merely sits upon the ledge on the bracket or if it somehow attaches to it.
