    Vibration Damper, Yes or No?

So I am in the process of changing out the output shaft seal and read a few threads where guys say to just remove it and not re-use it?

    So use it or not?

    Pro's and Con's please.

I always discard that the first time I drop the drive shaft.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Same, mine has been off for years with no issues.

its ment to absorb any undue vibrations. if all is well then its doing nothing. just adding weight. infact if its not there it can aid in feeling if things are unsettled sooner rather then later. ive always thrown all of the ones on my cars away.

                  It doesnt hurt in function....

Its downside is it makes taking the driveshaft off the guibo, or replacing the shifter bushings so painful you will grow to hate it.

so it makes no sense to actually take it off because its downside is its hard to take off.....

if its already off well ... depends on whether youre going to be the next one to take the driveshaft off and when.

I honestly hate that thing with a passion but I still put it back one with the new guibo and bolts because I figure Im done down there for a while.

The part itself is very expensive on pelican parts and it seemed to make sense to leave it on for resale to me
