I have found a dogleg trans attached to an M20 in an E28 that's being scrapped/parted locally. I'd like to use it on my M50 swap project car. By my logic, it will fit an M20, so it should fit an M50 as long as I use a trans brace for an M50 swap using the factory trans, right? Is there a difference in length between what I assume is a 265 and the stock trans from the G260?
Is anybody running a 265 with M20 bellhousing behind an M50 in an E30? I know, kind of an obscure combination of stuff to be asking about, but I may be able to get that dogleg goodness for cheap, and I'd love to have it, because race car.
