    325ix 3.91lsd into 325i

As far as I can tell it should be a bolt in affair, I want to replace my 3.73 open with one of these when I do the 5-speed swap. What sort of performance differences are there between the clutch based and viscous diffs? Car is primarily DD with weekend autocross.

the vlsd units should technically have less understeer than a clutch, and lock up decent if in good shape.

if its worn it will not lock, old VLSD unit failure is comming in subarus, nissans.

Picked up the 3.91 vlsd last weekend, internals are clean but due to research on the subject I'm gonna be doing some swapping.

I plan to take my 3.25lsd and the 3.91vlsd and swap carriers making a 3.25vlsd and a clutch based 3.91. I've already ordered all new seals and output bearings through some suppliers at work, I'll probably order in the shims too because I'm too lazy to cut them myself. Are there any other sources for the clutch packs than bimmerworld? I thought I remembered some had been found in dealership inventories

shims come in giant packs from germany, not to bad to special order.
get all the races too, they should be replaced with bearings.

clutch packs and steels you can order from porsche. check your local porsche dealer, they are friendly
