    need aluminum late model shifter carrier

    91 325i shifter carrier

    anyone know the part number or where to find it.. i have only been able to find the m3 part number. or does anyone have one for sale with hardware??

    idk why but my car has the early model version that is like a steel plate and it sucks!

        If you have the early shift console, the transmission probably doesn't have the mounting ears for the later aluminum console.
        The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          yea it does.. it has both early and late model mountings second picture on this site shows what i got as far as mounting for early and late model . but on my car i have the steel plate instead of whats pictured there

            If you remove the brackets on the transmission for the steel shift console, be sure to put the bolts back in the holes. They go all the way through and will leak oil out if you don't plug them back up.
