Trying to pull a c clip on my gear selector rod to replace it, having a bear of a time doing it. Dropping the trans is not an option (unless its safe to drop the tailshaft without disconnecting the driveshaft from the trans)

Anyone have any ideas?

Your probably removing it wrong, the bitch clips need to be slightly pried away and pushed off. There a bitch if you dont know how to get em off.

You should be able to do that without taking anything else apart.

You can also drop the trans brace to give yourself some more room.
