    5speed swap/Shift Linkage questions

Doing a 5 speed swap on my 1990 325i right now and stole a bunch of the parts from my old '84 325e to make it happen. Have some questions about the linkage setup in my situation

    I have a 12/89 4door 325i
    transmission from 1990 325i
shift lever is from an x5
    bushing set is for a 1990 325i
    driveshaft/guibo from 1984 325e

Can I use the selector rod and connector from the 1984 or do I need to use a 1990 setup? I'd rather save the $70-$80 if possible as I already have a new connector for the selector rod to trans link for the 1984 setup

    8/84 - 8/89

Bump, turns out half the shit the seller gave me with the trans is from a 325ix.

Is the 325ix platform interchangeable with a standard 325i platform or am I basically stuck trying to find one from a 9/89+ 325i??
