hard to get into gear.. happened randomly..

I just swapped a new shift ball bushing and a z3 into my eta, and everything was shifting great. This was a couple days ago, and have been dailying it no issues. However, I drove into town today, no issues, and then On the way back I started noticing the shifter became a bit notchier.

Almost home, it became very apparent that I was forcing the shifter into gears, and kept getting worse. I parked at Quick Chek (a mile after I noticed it was difficult) and then when heading home (a mile from quick chek) It was nearly impossible to put into any gear. Easier while moving but still very difficult. Clutch pedal does not vibrate, and depresses normally. I did notice that it started to grab a little lower then what I thought, but I had just driven my friends mk3 jetta which grabs high so that could affect this assumption.

I read up a little bit, and It seems there are a couple issues that could have caused this.

    1) Clutch not fully disengaging hydraulically- I know master/ i believe slave too was replaced recently by a foreign car repair shop owner who dailied the car before me.

    2) Binding in Linkage- as I drove home I noticed it started getting worse and worse, I do not know what could have caused the binding.

Clutch felt great so I do not know if that really is an issue. I also read that some can have issues with the Pplate, of which I do not think this is. It drove perfect anbd then started to degrade over a span of 5 miles on the way home.

Its dark out so I didnt check anything under the hood/linkage, but just looking for ideas when I wake up to check it out tomorrow.

When it gets hard to engage gears, pull off the road, shut down the engine, and try engaging gears. If it is easy to do then, but not with the engine running, the clutch isn't fully releasing. That can be a problem with the clutch hydraulics or a worn clutch disk.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The only possible failure of the slave cylinder is leaking seals. But the master cylinder can fail and not leak.
