Ok guys, well i was just finished doing the z3 short shit conversion for my e30, and i can't go into reverse. its because i didn't do as it said and take out the selector rod completely and bend it. Problem is that i can take out the selector rod from the area where it connects to the shift lever but not the other side. Is there a cheat way to do it. Because i cant see the clip to pull it out! Pics, Vids, Suggestions, anything is apprecaited it!

or you can feel around and use a thin flat head (hammer in if you need to) and pry up. then use the flat head to pry it out.

Remove the drives haft, remove transmission mount cross member and tilt it back, could loosen the motor mounts for more room. Be careful not to tip too much and send the fan into the radiator. With it tilted you can get a screw driver up there. Also get new derlin bushings for that pin...much better than new OE rubber. Turner or the guys at garagistic sell em.
