Humming & cracking noise at idle coming from tranny

    Hey guys,

I have this bad cracking and humming noise coming from the transmission area when the clutch pedal is pushed out. The noise goes away when the pedal is pressed in. I can also hear some noise while driving and the car seems to be being grabbed by something when rolling. Car jerks more than usual when shifting or when I let go of the acceleration pedal. I initially thought it was a stuck e-brake, as clutch and TOB was replaced by the previous owner recently.

A noise from the bellhousing that changes when the clutch is operated could be the throwout bearing. The other problem sounds more like wear in the drive train. With a bad drive shaft being at the top of the list.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Throw out bearing should be good since its only 10k miles old. After some searching, I'm thinking it might be the pilot bearing that fits into the flywheel.

I ordered a set of differential seals and a new diff silicon gasket. There is a lot of leakage around the diff area. Hard to tell exactly where it's leaking from
