    Shifting problems....

Over the span of 2 days its been hard to put my car in R,3rd,4th,and 5th gears but not second. It also feels sloppy and it feels as if im not in gear. The shifter is not centered and the throws are long. Anybody know whats goin on? I have a 318is with a z3 1.9 rod. Could it be that the pin that holds the rod in place is loose or the pin has come out? Or is it bent? I will take a look today but i just wanna get an idea before i get myself in over my head.

I think that the clip that holds the rod to the selector came off or is loose i will take a look but can anyone help with other suggestions?

how do you fix a bent straight seletor rod? Should i just replace it with a new one. I have aflex disc and a straight selector rod but can i use a new bent selector rod from the dealer or do i have to order a new straight selector rod from the dealer.
