    Quick diff question

I hate to ask this but I'm tired of scouring for a clear answer. I have a 91 318is with what looks like a small case diff? (6 bolts on cover unless I'm miss counting). Which lsd's bolt up and which don't? I assume I have a 4.10 open, I just haven't been able to get under there lately yet to verify. If what I read is correct a small case lsd will bolt up. No axles needed? Or am I possibly miscounting bolts?

I'm no expert on a 318is, but a small case differential sounds right. It would be a 4.10 and could be open or limited slip. Check the tag on the differential to tell.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Well I'm fairly new to beamers and I wanna get my facts strait before snatching diffs off junkers. When I had my rear in the air recently I could've swore both my wheels turned together. I'll check again. I'm getting conflicting diff compatability info from dif forums. Thx for the reply btw.
