    3.46 Diff Help

Bolted up a 3.46 LSD in my ETA. Ever since then my speedo and tach gauges have been acting haywire. I'm to assume the speed sensor in the diff needs replacing. (btw- replaced my gauge cluster with a confirmed working one and act's exactly the same) What cars were these standard? Need to search real oem for this part.
Another question - The wire harness that plugs into the sensor, are they all the same (universal) ? ?

I swapped a 3.46 into my e30 without issue, came from a 6 series. The diff has a ring in that the sensor reads. To be safe, I swapped the known working sensor in from the previous diff. Also check to make sure your wires at the sensor aren't arcing as they can be brittle.

A flaky speed sensor would affect the speedometer, but would not affect the tachometer. You could have a problem with the speed signal to the cluster, but there is a different problem that is affecting the tachometer.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Could it have anything to do with installing an "I" cluster in an ETA ? ?

Not per se. But there could be problem inside the cluster.
