Tranny swap 2.5 to 2.7 e30??????!!

I have an 86 325es and I want to covert to a manual but I can only find ones that are from a 325i or the 2.5l and I want to know if I can use those on my 2.7 . Also if I can use them does it just bolt in ???? Thanks

If you install the necessary parts and convert to motronic 1.3, you can use a 325i transmission.

If you don't want to convert to motronic 1.3, then no. You are absolutely stuck looking for a 325e transmission.

Find a 100k mile 325i transmission, pay shipping for both, and I'll trade you my spare 100k mile transmission that came off of a 325e.

yes, it will fit right on there just get the flywheel and driveshaft off the manual

Yes, everything will "bolt on" but as said you need a transmission from an Eta car that has the holes for the crank sensors.
