Early G260 in a late model

Can this be done correctly? If so, what needs to be modified?

    Thanks for the help.

same mounting holes. the mounting holes didnt change ever, thats why you can mount a g260 up to an m20, m50, m52, m54 etc.

But early I'm assuming the transmission came from an ETA. In which case there will be holes in the bell housing for the ETA timing sensors and it won't have the ears for the aluminum shifter console. The holes can be plugged and you can get the adapter for an E30 M3 to use the late shifter.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
