    Drive line issues.

I have two etirtes. 89 and an 85 whatevs. i bought the 85 for 300 bucks with the trans almost falling out. threw on a new guibo. and put the transmission brackets back where they should have been. K few months roll by. put in a garbage 293 diff. no problems a bit faster. did new suspension a few weeks ago went and rallied the car. hit large bump. i thought it was oil pan, but my friend thinks it was the diff hitting. Went to drive friends to dinner large clunk, going 5mph in first gear and put in the clutch after accelerating. said cluck happened. jacked up car. checked trans mounts everything okay. it seemed anyways. when that happened the sheet metal thing that holds up the gear selector came out of its mount. i fixed it with a bolt and a few nuts. now its sturdy. Driving to work yesterday i am hearing, like a howling squeak. and the gear selector will, i dont know how to put this, the rear of it feels like it is going down into the tunnel. I asked my co-workers, they said the howling squeak, may be the throw out bearing.(had my trucks throw out bearing replaced 4 years ago and made the same noise) and the feeling of the gear selector going down is the universal joint on the differential has broken, sorry i made this so long. But i want you to kinda understand what is going on with it. thanks for the help.

Well the squeak definitely sounds like a throw out bearing, especially if it happens all the time. I'm not as sure about the gear selector part, I'm having trouble picturing it.

Note: If rallying your car, hit large bump. check for a loose diff...
